Three modules, each taught by a member of the Expert Panel. Take one module on its own, or complete all three for the Institute’s Certificate in Governance.
Module one
How the state is governed, and the craft of governing itself, taught by those who have served in public office. The module examines how institutions hold, how public office is held to account, and how nations in the region govern together.
Module two
How organisations are directed, controlled and held to account, from those who have chaired boards and led companies. The module treats governance as a matter of judgement, not only compliance.
Module three
How data is made trustworthy enough to govern with, and how AI is adopted ethically and responsibly. The module is built on KOPTUA, the Institute’s framework, and grounded in POPIA and the regulatory realities of African markets.

Complete all three modules to earn the Institute’s full certificate — a single view of governance across the state, the enterprise and the data and AI systems both depend on.

Assignments set and marked by the Institute, with the expert’s view informing certification.
